Anonymous asked: Hi, can you please post some photos of the old KL HIlton along Jalan Sultan Ismail? Old snapshots of Tin Mine discotheque, Club Bar, Aviary Bar and other outlets/events related to the now demolished KL Hilton hotel would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you for visiting the blog, anonymous. The Tin Mine discotheque sounds interesting.
So, if anyone out there has interesting images of these locations please submit!
Anonymous asked: Hi, regarding your latest post of a bird shop, it's not located on Jalan Sultan Ismail but rather Jalan Sultan, which goes through Chinatown.
Thanks for the correction. Fixed. :)
Anonymous asked: I love your blog! I'm not currently living in Malaysia but when I feel like I'm starting to miss home I just look at this blog and I feel so happy :) keep it up!
Anonymous asked: where can I get old picture like your picture? Can I copy your image for entertainment work?
Hi Anonymous. Not too sure what you’re asking for. But will try to answer anyway:
1 - Old pictures are found online, they are the property of whoever owns them and credit is given to the source whenever possible. Which leads to…
2 - Please don’t copy images for any derivative work… or any kind of work, actually. Pretty sure that’s not legal.
Thanks for asking.
Anonymous asked: Have you tried going through the Old Kuala Lumpur Skyscrapercity forum for pictures? There are a ton of it there.
Hi there. That’s a great collection and vintageKL did source one or two photos from the forum. We try not to duplicate other collections though, and we want to bring something more to what’s already out there. That’s our hope for this tumblr - to inspire and encourage users to look at their own photo collections and submit their personal snapshots of KL.
